payment process
50% of the fee must be paid within one week of booking your recording. The remainder is due upon delivery of completed recordings. This 50/50 deposit/balance structure makes the fees less cost-prohibitive for clients, as well as provides me with peace of mind knowing that my engagements won’t cancel out of the blue. (Deposits can be applied to a different session or concert, as long as notice is given more than 1 week before original date.)
| Cancel before: | Deposit refunded: |
| 4 weeks | 100% |
| 3 weeks | 75% |
| 2 weeks | 50% |
| 1 week | 25% |
NOTE: clients who represent businesses, organizations, etc. with established processes for invoicing and rendering payments can expect Sheahan Sound to follow these policies.
RUSH JOBS– projects that require rushed turnaround timing will receive a 25% surcharge on their invoice.
A “rush job” is defined as a concert that begins less than 72 hours after booking with Sheahan Sound OR a recording that must be exported less than 72 hours after a concert/session OR an editing project that must be exported in less than 72 hours.
This is not intended to be a punishment for procrastination- recordings are planned weeks or months ahead of time so every client can enjoy efficiency on-location and reasonably fast turnarounds. Short notice engagements offer me less time to carefully plan workflows around a session, and therefore I can’t use my time as effectively. The rush charge helps me to recoup diminished productivity.
