sheahan sound is a single-person recording company based in boston, massachusetts. it was founded with the aim of providing high quality musical recording technology and expertise to emerging artists who have yet to benefit from institution or patron support for full-scale production operations.
My aim is to deliver a final recording that’s as close to the experience of listening to the performance as possible. To this end, I take the utmost care to address even the most minute details at every step in the process. i don’t compromise when it comes to precision and reliability before, during, and after your performance.

billy grew up in connecticut but has lived in boston since they earned their bachelor’s of music degree in trombone performance at boston university. billy is an active freelancer in the greater boston area, enjoying engagements playing trombone and euphonium, as well as their work as an on-location recordist and audio consultant. Billy also serves as operations and label associate for the Boston Modern Orchestra Project’s in-house record label, BMOP/sound.
